Reliance Jio really revolutionized the 4G data market in India, the company managed to gain millions of customers with its economic offers. Now there is a serious security breach in Jio and Customer data of millions of Reliance Jio users has been leaked online.
The customer data is available on a website www.magicapk.com, On the website you need to just enter thesite you need to just enter the jio mobile number and click on the show button, the complete details of the customer of the entered mobile number will be displayed including the Name, Email ID, Circle ID and the date and time of sim activation.
Luckily the Aadhar number related to the Mobile number is not displayed, the website magicapk.com is now unavailable, it seems that Jio officials have taken necessary steps. Reliance Jio in a statement have responded about the issue, their statement reads – “We have come across the unverified and unsubstantiated claims of the website and are investigating it. Prima facie, the data appears to be unauthentic. We want to assure our subscribers that their data is safe and maintained with the highest security. Data is only shared with authorities as per their requirement. We have informed law enforcement agencies about the claims of the website and will follow through to ensure strict action is taken.“
It is an issue of concern as it is a leak in a large scale and it is for the first time customer data of a telecom operator in India has been leaked.
