The Goods and Service tax was introduced by the Government to eliminate the multiple taxes imposed by Central and State Governments and to bring a unified tax scheme across the country. But after the GST was implemented there were some issues that the shopkeepers and dealers are taking extra money from the customers in the name of GST and also there has been some confusion among the shopkeepers in terms of the rate and taxes after GST, to eliminate all these and help customers verify the prices of goods that they buy the Government has launched an App
The app was launched bu finance minister Arun Jaitley. The app will help users to find the rate of GST for various goods, the app is currently available for the Android platform and can be downloaded on any Android smartphone and the app works without any need of internet connection. The app will be soon made available on the android platform also.
Users can search for any goods and service on the GST Rate finder app and relevant result will be shown now click on the exact product you want to know the GST Rate for and a display window will pop-up containing details such as GST rate, description of goods and services and the chapter heading of the Harmonised System of Nomenclature (HSN)
A GST rate finder service is also available on the portal of The Central Board of Excise and Customs, click the link www.cbec-gst.gov.in to access now.
